How?
We may not realize it, but our unconscious thoughts and behaviors have a huge impact on how productive and effective we are. We tend to focus on other people’s actions, or blame the circumstances when things don't go well. As a result, we miss a big opportunity to use our own agency and power to explore new possibilities and create paths toward what we want.
Our self-sabotaging patterns, or Saboteurs, can have us retreat, go until we burn out, get defensive, or try to control the uncontrollable. Recognizing and shifting these patterns helps us access our greatest wisdom, capability and impact.

Program Outline
Week 1
Introduction
Review the program structure, ask questions, and get to know your PQ pod and facilitator.
Week 2
Self-Command Muscle
Boost your Self-Command muscle by practicing short exercises called "PQ reps". With each PQ rep, you develop greater mastery over your own mind. You become better able to interrupt stressful and limiting thoughts and be intentional with your thinking and behavior.
Week 3-4
Saboteur Interceptor Muscle
Learn to intercept your top Saboteurs when they hijack your thoughts, feelings, and actions. Get familiar with their stories and impact so you recognize them when they pop up.
Week 5-7
Sage Muscle
Practice the Sage Perspective that converts any problem or challenge into a gift and opportunity. Generate the gift in any challenge through the 5 Sage Powers of Empathize, Explore, Innovate, Navigate, and Activate.
Week 8
Reflection & Closing
Harness the progress you've made and create a plan to apply and sustain your growth going forward.

With the wave of anti-racist activism that rose in 2020, I struggled when reflecting on my part in where we were as a nation and what I could do about it. As I was learning and having conversations with others, I noticed that I was drawing upon the skills I had learned in the Positive Intelligence program: noticing my reactions and judgments, pausing and assessing how I wanted to show up, and aligning my behavior with my intentions. Without these skills, I would have been more reactive and less resilient in my engagement. Instead I was able to stay open, curious, empathetic and perhaps most importantly, engaged. Positive Intelligence helped me show up at my full capacity for the change I care passionately about.
